Alumni Network Project Developer
REPORTS TO: Alumni Network Director CLASSIFICATION: FT/Non-Exempt
Summary of Position: Working closely with the Alumni Network Director (Paige Gutacker), the Project Developer will contribute to all aspects of the Summit Alumni Network, giving special focus to projects placed under his/her oversight. The Project Developer will manage most online community aspects (including some social media and email campaigns), contribute to the monthly alumni e-publication (Summit RE:SOURCE), oversee the Alumni Network internship program and a new volunteer program, create additional curriculum (for projects like Career Direct) and training pieces (for projects like Local Summit Communities), and more. This flexible position includes vision-casting, project planning and implementation (follow-through is key), and ongoing development and management of existing endeavors. It would be a great fit for someone who is driven to excel, loves taking on new challenges, enjoys variety in work tasks, is a fast learner, endeavors to craft the best sentences, and cares deeply about people.

This is an entry level position. Salary is commensurate with experience. The Alumni Network Project Developer needs to be a Summit alum with an undergraduate degree (preferably in Communication, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related). Student leadership--or other leadership--experience is ideal.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and write promotional pieces, invitations, and other marketing copy (for emails, mailers, etc.)
- Help Paige take the nationwide Local Summit Communities endeavor to the next level
- Contribute to the production of Summit RE:SOURCE each month
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase alumni interest in social media, Summit RE:SOURCE, and LSCs
- Gather feedback, testimonials, and stories from alumni
- Assist with the Alumni Leadership Track at the Adult Conference in March (and possibly other conferences/trainings)
- Invite summer students to join the Network (briefly speak in front of 180 students each session in CO)
- Write blog posts and conversation starters for online communities
- Produce alumni resources and curriculum
- Envision other projects that facilitate the alumni community
- Manage alumni Internship Program that offers personal development and skill set sharpening (oversee up to three interns long-distance, providing them with Personal Development tools, weekly reflections, and daily tasks)
- Assist Paige in other aspects of managing the Alumni Network, including: contact management, email scheduling, spreadsheet work, mailings, budgeting, registration, analytics, and correspondence
